How does the book club work?

Each month, we will read a piece of literature together and discuss it. Whenever the author is willing and able, they will join the chat either live or with a Q & A.

How do I join?

Joining us is as simple as picking up a book and immersing yourself in our ongoing dialogue!

There is no cost to join, to become a member, you just need to join this substack thread to participate in the discussion. To be the first to know and receive alerts directly to your inbox, you can sign up here. We will also share selections on social.

What kinds of books will we be reading and how are selections made?

Every month I will choose a book, essay, or article for us to read together that centers around writing as a healing life path. There is no system for how these selections are chosen, other than they each spark joy and inspiration within me for one reason or another and I’m moved to share them with you. I’m dedicated to celebrating diverse and underrepresented voices, so look forward to a range of voices. Because I’m obsessed with this topic and also embarking on an MSW journey studying this very topic, i’ll also pepper the thread with other books, and articles I’m reading that may add to the conversation (and hope you will too!).

Where can I purchase books?

Please purchase books at your local independent bookstore or local libary, and you can visit indiebound or bookshop to locate online independent booksellers!
